The first two fully finished and printed books!

So the very first book I wrote was Coley Bear for my son. I wrote it in a few hours a few weeks after he was born, but didn't get around to illustrating it until I was put on bed rest when he was 2! Well, when I finally finished it I was SO excited I ordered a copy through an online printer. I am so in love with it!!!

Then, I decided to write another book, Lana's Wish, for my son's best friend. She was turning two in August and we wouldn't be able to make it to her birthday party because of my bed rest, so I wanted to do something really special. I finished her book in about two weeks and ordered a copy. I can't wait for her to see it! It is so customized for Lana, from her curly brown hair to her favorite food and little personality traits.
After writing Lana's Wish, I decided I was in love with making children's books and I wanted to start making customized books for all my friends! Right now I am working on a Big Sister, Little Sister book as a gift to my cousin. As I was writing it, I realized I know about four other people that have two daughters! So I decided that I really need to find a cheaper, more efficient way to print my books! So I am really working hard trying to get everything figured out. First of all, I need to find the best place to print the books, then I need to make my prices and options list. I will be offering my books to be purchased as is, semi-customized (the names and some colors), or completely customized (the story is written with only your child in mind, names, nicknames, personality traits, favorite foods, songs, toys, activities. Also if you have a story theme in mind ex: birthday, monkey's, monsters, princess etc..) So keep an eye out for my upcoming options and official IN BUSINESS announcement!

A little about K. Antoinette

Hi!
My name is Kristina. I am a wife, mother of two wild little boys, a daughter, a friend, a photographer, and a children's book creator!

When my first son was born I had an idea for a story and I wrote it in about an hour! I was thrilled, everyone LOVED the story and told me that I needed to get this published! Well, it wasn't until two years later, when I got put onto bed rest with my second little man, that I decided to try making the illustrations on my own. It took me about a week to complete, and I couldn't have been more proud of myself. WOW! I thought, how did I do that! Well, I became hooked! I continued writing fun little stories using the names of people I knew. Everyone loved the books and wanted a special one made for their child.

After receiving such positive feedback, I decided I had something really great going. I could make custom books! So I created a list of questions to send out to my friends so that the story would really be special. So far everyone has loved their special book and I am looking forward to growing this hobby into a business!
